Get That Kill Mail!

 

I was going to run a fleet last night, but of course my client didn't want to work correctly (which has become a huge pain in the ass) and storms came through and my internet was all wacky.

After the storms went through I seen that I could once again fly in Eve Online. I was in a simple Breacher with a web and no scram or point. I seen an Apocalype and several frigate ships at a novice plex and decided to check it out. 

When doing pvp in Eve Online, when you see a bunch of frigates and a battleship sitting near a novice plex, most of the time, the frigates are attacking the battleship. In this case I was correct. There are times where a battleship is helping friends, but that's more of a rare case scenario.

I arrived at the plex and there was an Imperial Navy Slicer, Federation Navy Comet, Succubus and a Garmur already engaged. I knew I wasn't going to make it out alive, but decided to get on a nice killmail.  Fortunately for me, after the battleship was taken down, I was able to get away both from others not caring about me and or they were engaged with other ships. 

The point of this story is that even if you know you may die, it's nice to get on a 400M killmail.

Fleets Have Been Running Smooth , So Far.

Sorry for the lack of posting lately, things have been busy.

After being prompted many times by Laura & Sterling, I had finally stepped up and started running fleets. I was scared to be honest, only being in a few fleets myself. 

I decided to use some cheap Thrashers for my first fleet. The fleet was fun, but everyone could tell my inexperience in running a fleet.I am very privileged to have a great corp and groups of friends that both helped dealing with my inexperience and helped me along with their support. 

I have ran 3 fleets so far and believe that I have become a better FC with each fleet that I have ran. I have been taking comments and info from everyone who has attended to gain their thoughts and also learn and get more experience. With taking the comments, I can also look at what members are looking for when flying and how they liked or didnt like aspects of each fleet. This information is crucial for me learning more.

Laura & Sterling have both gave great feedback as far as learning the mechanics of running a fleet, while everyone else has had great feedback with their own experiences.

I was also given the role of Director from the Corp as well. With this new role I am looking forward to learning much more of the back end of how the corp runs and will be able to help other corp members as I learn.

For everyone within the corp and friends that have come along on my fleets, I really appreciate you helping me learn more and dealing with my inexperience with the fleets I have run and also with the corp inner workings, which as I said, I stive to be better to help make this corp the best in New Eden.

She’s kicking some ass again

I was really nice to get out and fly with Laura again. She seemed to be in a rut and even kinda mentioned it to me as well. But since the fleet I ran last weekend she has seemed to take it a notch back upwards. 

Its good to hear her say that she likes the feel of the kill (not that she never does). Its nice to see her smile again and I hope to fly with her again soon to post more kills for the corp.

She has had a couple of really nice kills lately and I am linking her new sense of her ‘normal’ self again.

Its also nice the she is starting to confide in me again also. We have been pretty distant since the wars and with everything going on with the corp. She does most of all the logistics, planning and making sure structures are running and not out of fuel. She is our head diplomat and I strive to be like her in that department.

I hope with my new role within the corp, I can start helping with more stuff to help lower the burden she has. After all she has kept this corp running for 3 years on her own. I know how hard it is to let some of the burden go, but with all the new people that are here and willing to help, I hope she recognizes it.

Laura has been a mentor of mine and now with her also helping with logistics and fleet building and guidance, I am sure Wolf Brothers will be a force to recon with in the future.

Such A Relief

So a meeting of the officers was called for last night and to be honest I was a bit nervous about what was going to be said and done. Sterling had approached me even before the meeting was called and told me that we needed to have an officers meeting asap, because of the leadership change within the corp and how things were getting misunderstood within the ranks below the leadership. 

This made me nervous because Sterling wasn’t himself or acting like himself, as far as I could tell. Seemed very “formal” and not as much friendly as he normally is. Maybe it was just a bad night for him or something, who knows.

I figured whatever it was probably had something to do with me because he mentioned leadership change within the corp and we hadnt addressed it because of the recent wars we were dealing with and the holidays.

Well come to find out it was kind of something I had mentioned to Sterling, about how I needed what was in his and Laura’s heads as far as information I needed to do my job, so when corp members ask me questions I can have answers. This was misunderstood and I can totally see why. 

We got everything cleared up and I was very happy to hear that I was really accepted in the role I am in now and everyone is in support of me and how we will all work together for a common goal.

The other thing is, this is a great kind of break through of communication within the upper leadership of the corp and alliance and there will be more meetings to come.

War Update - The War Is Over!

I was privileged enough to be able to lead our corp and alliance to the structure bash, to hopefully end out war and permanently remove that virus of a corp who invaded our space.

Our normal FC was unable to make it to the fight last night but we were ready never the less. with the addition of our friends from other corps, we were able to distribute pain the the Galactic Mafia.

We were expecting or them to come out swinging and were ready for them, but they didn’t show. We took out their citadel and now the war is over.

I wanted to thank everyone who came along and special thanks to Nalki and Brian for helping me with this exciting time to remove the plague from our system.

I feel a bit special today after receiving a generous award medal. I got together last night with Sterling Blades and he was going over and showing me about how to actually run a fleet. 

Granted it was basic stuff, but I felt much better after doing maneuvers with him as he was showing me, then having me call and do the maneuvers as if we were in fleet. I feel much better now in case the need ever needed for me to be a Fleet Commander.

When I got back home, I had gotten a notice that I had received the Basic FC Certification from my corporation, in which I am honored.

So far so good - War Report

As the title says, so far so good. We took their structure down to hull and now we have to wait 10 days to be able to completely wipe them from our space. We were expecting some resistance, so Sterling Blades had me FC a small fleet of corp and alliance members as support to the main damage fleet of battleships of our friends and allies. 

To be honest I was a bit scared because Sterling chose me, but he wasn’t available because of other issue that arose and had him elsewhere dealing with other matters. I am honored for him to have me be the FC, but I was still worried as the timer was clicking down.

Luckily, the enemy didn’t show, but we did have some other issues to deal with because the system was under Triglavian Invasion and we had to fend off 2 attacks by the Triglavians which could have turned out bad, but it all worked for the best for everyone involved.

I want to thank everyone who participated in the OP and also wanted to thank everyone for having trust in me, to do my part as the FC.

Really pisses me off

You know, when you are out hunting for targets for pvp fighting and you think you have a good one. You warp in and start the battle, this is the height of the excitement! 

I found a Tristan in a novice site and got him disrupted, which was cool, but my Condor couldn’t take all of the drone damage and I wasn’t doing enough damage to over come his armor repair, which I lost the Condor. That isn’t what pissed me off, that was a goof fight!

What pissed me off is that when I went back to engage him again after getting a Merlin, I warped to where I thought he was but he wasn’t. When I arrived on gate, there was another ship who is blue to me (meaning we don’t battle each other due to alliance friendships) warped in at the same time.

 My thoughts were “Let’s get the target together..” thinking since he was blue we could tag team the target. Once I was inside the site, the original target I came back for was not there and the blue ship slid the gate right behind e and entered the site. Once he entered, he immediately scrammed me and launched drones and started firing at me. I announced in local that he was blue to me and to stop, but he didn’t. I didn’t fire because I thought he was going to stop after seeing I said he was blue to me. Nope he took my Merlin and I was really pissed. 

After he took my Merlin, he then says in local “sorry my bad”, which I replied a swift “Fuck You!”. I told him I was going to contact diplomacy and well he didn’t really care.

Whats the point of having alliances and friendships in this space if people are just going to ignore them and do what they want?

I want Justice!

 So, yesterday was a bit different than I was expecting. I was expecting with the losses we had from the prior night, people would be enraged and wanting more blood. This was not the case, things were more of back to normal business.

 From a personal point of view, that worked for me putting my nerves at ease for at least on night.I was actually able to sit down and talk with Laura about what we were doing and what was going on between us.

 For the most part, what I was hopping was indeed what she was feeling toward me, as I was to her, which made me very happy. I also loved the huge laugh I got from her, when I compared her to a vampire, which she replied she hadn’t been called that before, but has been called much worse.

 She also did something I wasn’t expecting. She “marked” me with a blue kiss on my neck.I thought at first, it was just a simple kiss of blue lipstick, but learned quickly from the stinging pain it was something else!

 Still a bit sore to the touch, this marking is permanent from what I can tell, like a tattoo. I am guessing this is signification of her loyalty to me, which I treasure from her. 

We also got a couple of kills in

Eugales, which at first tag teamed me, before I was able to get out, then we set up a small camp at a plex and got them both!

Anniversary #3

Yes today is an anniversary, not mine per say, but it is one I will always remember. 

Today is the Anniversary of when I lost my wife and 2 kids to a bloody attack that the Serpentis did to the Caldari transport they were on. This is the day that has been burned into my mind, forever. 

Although the Caldari won’t admit the attack happened, I am bound to seek my revenge for what happened. After a year or two,  I decided to join Eve University to learn how to fly and fight, so I could get my revenge. I thought the corp would teach me what I wanted and needed to know to seek my revenge, but they could only get me to a certain point, before I had to leave. 

Don’t get me wrong, Eve University is a great crop to get involved with and to learn all aspects of living life as a capsuleer. They teach how to fit and fly ships. They teach you how to enjoy life as a capsuleer, but being a neutral corp and always war decked, I couldn’t be in the corp any longer. The management within the corp is the slowest I have ever seen, which was the true straw that broke this camel’s back.

I have now found a better corp Wolf Brothers INC. They have welcomed me warmly and have offered to teach me more about the tactics of flying and killing who I need to and where and how. My training with one of the corp leaders,

has helped me tremendously. I have to also acknowledge Karina for more help and training.

Tomorrow brings a new day of training and killing of the ships and people who may just deserve it.
